Im driving today and I realize my brights are on. I cant turn them off. Then I realize that the reason I cant turn them off is becuase I assume its some sort of safety system so you always have lights. All of my lights are out, inside, and outside. With the exception of the brights, brakes, and the blinkers still bilnk. Relays seem to be working ok, and the fuses under the hood are still fine. What can be the problem? This messed up my night.

Blown fuse inside the car.
I had that fuse blow on me while driving far away from home on the expressway. Not fun. then I pull over into a gas station, the attendant won't lend me a flashlight and on top of that a cop pulls into the gas station. Luckily he was just passing through and didn't harrass me. Found and changed out the fuse, no problems since then.

 

it's a Z securuty thing....only brights will light up since they are wired directly to the battery. usually means a blown fuse or some kind of short in the electrical system

 

Yeah, I got it the next day. Everytime something happens since I chaged my alternator my mind clicks into "Major Problem Mode."
