loss of power
hi everyone,,sorry for this being one of my first few posts but im having a new problem with me new Z and not sure where to look first.
i just bought a 90 N/A 5 speed 2 seater, and already had to fix a few things on it like new struts, weld the exhaust, fix the shifter, etc. and today i have a new problem.
i have driven the car a few days before i worked on it today and there was no loss of power what so ever, this morning i fixed my exhaust leak, and also reattached the heater hoses, the guy i bought the car from had a single hose bypassing the heater hose outlets sticking out of the firewall...i got the hoses from advanced and installed them correctly, but now when i drive it i have almost a complete loss of power, i can still drive highway speeds and such, but it has the power of a civic or del sol or something, lol.
i notice it most from a dead stop, i have almost nothing for power and once i get out of 2nd it starts getting better.
my first assumption so far is the easy route and changing the fuel and air filters, and then maybe a tune up. but im not sure why it just started out of no where like that. would it have something to do with hooking back up the heater?, or are there some other common problems these cars have that causes this?
thank you in advance for any help.

I'm sure it's not related to connecting your heater core (as long as your engine temps are fine). Here's a starting point. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300z...pages/pep.html
However, don't replace the EGR... eliminate it. 300Degree sells an elimination kit.
