Lowering my Z

I know this has been asked alot but I need to know. I am going to be lowering my Z so I can lose some of the empty space between the fenders and the tires. I am going to use GC coil over kits with probably Tokico illuminas so I can precisely adjust the ride hight to my liking. My question is, what else do I need to buy when I make these changes? It looks like it will be lowering the ride height about 1-1.5 inches. I know after that the alignment will need adjusting, so what do I need to get for the front and the rear so that the proper alignment can be reached? Thanks!

If you're lowering it that far you will definitely need adjustable rear camber arms and adjustable upper control arms in the front. Without these you will never be able to get the camber adjusted properly. 1.5" is a lot to lower that car. The ride will be harsh to say the least. If you've never replaced the chin spoiler on the front valance, you will, probably several times.

You will probably need to replace the strut rod dust boots. Mine were destroyed. Also, the strut bushings that ride on the suspension rod inside the dust boots are probably shot. They're inexpensive, so it's probably a good idea. We were able to cut the damaged portion off of the bishings, but we had to fabricate the dust boots since we didn't realize we needed them until the struts were off the car.

Man dont go with coil-overs, roughest ride i've ever been in. Especially if you are planning on going very fast, I saw a 1992 2+2 hitting about 130 bouncing up and down the whole way, looking like she was about to go outta control... I asked her later on that night "what was the problem there???" she told me it never rode like that until she got coil-overs... So thats just my 2 cents... Peace foo's

If you want that kind of lowering job with a somewhat decent ride, I suggest my setup. No joke. I have intrax springs with tokiko illuminas. I just drove from the bay area, CA to San Diego, CA. I had the shocks set on 1 (settings 1-5) and it rode pretty nice. Get a camber kit. Unusually, I haven't had to use mine yet, but I have it around.

So how far did you lower it? Do you have some pics that I can see what she looks like?
So you are saying that you lowered your car but did not have to put any camber kits, front or back? DId you have to get an alignment? Thanks
