I'm interested in purchasing a 90-96 300ZX twin turbo but I've heard from some people that the maintenence costs are high. I want to know if this is true or not. If someone could verify this and tell me what kind of maintenence we're talking here and how much $$ that would be great. Thanks, I appreciate it.

 

there is some truth to what your asking, and falsness. you take care of your car, it will last your forever. my good friend has 150k miles on his TT, original engine AND TURBO's and he red lines that car every time he drives...but he gives it proper maintance, lets his turbo's cool down with a turbo timer. labor can be pricey on Z's, b/c they are hard to work on, but if you live close to other people who are smart mechanicly...it tends not to be such a problem...Z's are very reliable cars, just depends on how well they are maintained, i know of a guy who has 256k miles on his Z, original engine. and drove one last night that had 200k, and it still pulled hard. the guy with 148k on his engine eats C5's left and right still.
