My 92 Twin Turbo ... The Story So Far

My 92 Twin Turbo ... The Story So Far
Ok, so I've had it for about four days now, long enough to know what stuff it needs save for some of the mechanical things which I'll be checking when the weather is warmer.
Paint is descent, couple of hail-sized dings in hood but everywhere else is free of blemishes.
Missing items: defroster button cover (have ordered), clock (have ordered), hatch cover, t-top shades and bags, the black trim on back that says nissan and twin turbo (want to get this one soon!).
Replaced a headlamp relay and got the vanity lights working, can't find the hood light or the hatch light, not sure if it has them or where they're located. All other lights are functional.
Hood has some gap issues, which causes the alarm light to flash. Need to get that fixed. It closes fine but there's some give in the latch as you can still press it down some more until it hits the secondary lock. If it can be adjusted so it was tight without any give it should close the gap and fix the alarm problem. Might be why the fuse was missing for the theft system.
The hood window washer jets are broke underneath, not sure where to get those, parts store said go to Nissan.
Hatch release lever doesn't open hatch, there's a faint click but I don't hear any motor running. Is it a motor or just a cable release? Opens fine with key. It also needs shocks, it fell on my head once, ouch! It's heavy.
Radio doesn't work, but it's stock so no big loss there, trying to decide which cable is the antenna for when I add a new head unit. Thought it might be the double prong cable. Not sure. Checked with meter for power and remote power and they're working not sure about ground, need to look some more.
The major problem with it right now is the steering wheel is off center by about 90 degrees. Not sure why or what would cause it. It doesn't pull left or right when driving. I'll probably take it in since it has airbag. Don't want to mess that up.
Has original exhaust I believe, the big cans angled upward and out. There's a leak where they connect to the pipes. I'll get some new gaskets for them and get them sealed up. I'll probably switch out for some cat backs eventually. But it actually doesn't sound too bad as is.
Well, that's about it for problems at least until I check the ecu and some other things. It's got an airbag light on and the hicas light came on when I was driving it home but it hasn't come on since. Maybe the ecu diagnostic will tell me more. Hopefully just a sensor out on those two.
I put a clean piece of cardboard under the front end the first night and there were a couple of drips on passenger side toward front and then nothing for next 24 - 48 hours later and then the last two days it hasn't leaked.
Going to change oil when it's warmer and clean out the cooling system. Has synthetic in it now so I'll probably stick with it.
Just had a timing belt replaced and water pump. Not sure about plugs. Injectors look pretty old, not sure if they need replaced unless it's recommended.
Ecu looks like it's been upgraded to a JWT, probably the 370/fed from what I'm learning. Has a single intake and probably the stock injectors by the looks of them.
It's an auto, but no car's perfect, but I'm too old to be shifting like a kid anymore. But the auto's pretty nice, has a nice overdrive in it. And it's nice to be at a light and just punch and go.
Car runs smooth, seems like it has a lot of power, maybe more than stock. From what I read the JWT adds about 60 Hp.
Future plans: Not going for a 1000 HP Track Car. Probably somewhere around 400 would be fine with me. I'll probably just replace the exhaust and some minor engine parts. Plan on keeping stock turbos, might replace injectors but will keep them stock size since already have ecu upgraded for stock injectors.
But it's not bad now, needs a few things and some repairs and should be good to go. Maybe I can get some pics up when it's nice outside, it needs a good washing and the interior cleaned. Interior's good on it. Only one half-dollar-sized hole in the driver's seat on side. Other than that it's pretty good.
All in all, not bad for 18 years old.

basic stage chart. shows you where to start with your upgrades. post pics of your exhaust. it could be a decent system like hks and already be upgrading you, or it could just be pep boys mufflers half-assed welded on there. like the P.O. of my car has done...
