N/A test pipes
Tell me what you guys think of these test pipes. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...AFSEL%3AUS%3A1
I like them because they look like they have "cats" on them and I don't have to pass a smog test, they just look to make shure you have "cats" where I live.

the difference in the length of the exhaust is in the X-pipe or H-pipe, not the test pipes. so you only have to worry when getting a cat-back
it says on the ad"NISSAN 300ZX NON-TURBO 2 SEATERS OR 2+2"
im guessing thats just a resonator on those

I would really think about getting the test pipes with the flex tube in it, the reason being it reduces stress and gives you a bit of flex which can reduce stress/cracking/pressure on the rest of the system.
They cost more but in the long run I think you'll be a lot happier.

Related Question about exhaust
Hey guys I have a 90 N/A Coupe, and I have been looking to replace the exhaust in the very near future. However the monkey that owned it before me decided to cut the stock exhaust manifolds up and weld some tin can thing up to it.. really a ugly job and needs to be fixed. So I have been looking for a complete replacement system, from the Headers all the way back. Have browsed over the stillen headers and have found a multitude of cat-back systems, but what I really need is a complete replacement. I noticed stillen has some high flow cat's, but I also would either have to have a muffler shop fabricate some pipes from the headers to the cats or maybe pick up some down pipes and chop em up.. dunno. What do you guys think? Anyone here ever had to do a complete exhaust replacement? By the way I do have to pass emissions so whatever I do will have to pass. Thanks.

you could get amz or stillen headers
specialtyz high flow cat pipes or random technology high flow cats
stillen and specialtyz also have their own catbacks
if you get random tech cats, you can have someone else weld up pipes to them, but i think it would just be cheaper to get high flow cat pipes

Remember though,
Decreasing the backflow pressure is going to result in a loss of torque, so you'll lose some out of the hole grunt, but gain some mid/high range power.
