Need post-plenum pull help.
I had an oil leak so I pulled my plenum to locate it. I got everything put back on but now I am having some issues. The main issue is that my car won't start!!! All the hoses and connectors are on properly. I have fuel on my supply hose as well as the return hose. I haven't checked my fuel pressure yet. I have air (took off the intake pipes and left it at the throttle bodies) & spark (tested the plugs). The only thing missing is fuel. We sprayed some carb & choke cleaner into the throttle bodies (just to test it real quick) and my car actually started up for a split sec. It's obvious no fuel is getting into the cylinder through the injectors. The question is what would cause this? I've narrowed it down to 2 possibilities. Either there isn;t enough fuel pressure to get through the injectors (and instead it is just flowing through in the lines without high pressure) or the injectors aren't getting the signal to open. We manually turned the CAS and heard all 6 injectors click. In my mind this means they are getting the proper signal. Am I wrong in my way of thinking? The only thing I can think of is maybe my fuel pressure regulator isn't building the pressure needed to shoot fuel through the injectors. Sort of like if the wastegate were stuck open. There wouldn't be any boost but air would flow just fine. Does anybody have any other ideas or does this seem like a good chance? My Z has been OOC for 3 days now. I want it back!

The only things that woulld come to mind....... not enough fuel, as you suspect, or too much air. I don't believe the car will start at all with the intake tubes disconnected at the t/b's because there is no metered air flowing past the maf. If the intake tubes are attached then I'd check the voltage and resistance at the maf. You might also resistance check the ptu. It seems others have had them arbitrarily die after working on the car.
