No Fault Code>>>Any idea's?
Hello,
I have a 1993 300Z, non-turbo Auto...a while back, she just quit running...I have verified fuel pressure...and performed the self diagnostic...I am getting code 55 off the ECU which is the no fault found code...
The problem is...I still do not have spark...
I performed a continuity test on the PTU which is a newer replacement under the recall unit...I show continuity on all but two of the pins...The PTU does not have the same pin format as the one shown in the manual...but I believe that it may be shorted internally...But I am not sure...
If the PTU was shorted would I not be receiving a fault code through the ECU showing a failed PTU?
If so...and with no fault code...does anyone have a clue on what to try or where to go next?
Thanks
Dave

Do you have a friend with a Z? If so try swapping out PTU's.
Did you check for continuity of the wires from the PTU to the coil packs?
Did you check that all coil packs are within spec?
From what i can see of the ECU diagnotics page, the ptu is either ok or completing the circuit but still malfunctioning.

Have you checked all of the relays that are associated with the ignition? Since you have a multimeter they're easy to check. You want to make sure and power them up and check the opening/closing.
