no more trouble shooting with the ALC2
Hi,
i had several probs with my line controller, sometimes it shiftes to hard ... then the OD button doesn´t work etc.
I have spoken to a few Z enthusiasts here in the german Z scene,
the reason for the trouble shooting is these little washer ring in the original ecu plug. Remove it and the probs should be away.
It is a little work to put these out of way, but it work´s now without any trouble.
I mean the little ring in the original ECU plug, not the one in the ALC plug

I had all kind of problems with an ALC-II also. Shifted really hard one time then wouldn't shift at all the next. It definitely seemed like a connection problem like most people have because you could make the problem change by messing with the connector. I ended up fixing it with a 5-speed.

I also thoght about to swap my automatic into a shifter, but the parts are tough to get. When the ALC2 works without any probs it is perfect to drive, the only thing which I didn´t like is the big "bonelike" shiftknob.

I am getting my ALC delivered this week. From what i have read the connection is really sensible if you even over tighten the nut just a bit you will have problems. For those current owners and past owners is it worth the 300 dollars spent. How is the driving experience, want to know what to expect when i install mine.
