meh...sure they might be a bit better quality...but i just got ebay dp's ...stainless...and the welding is quite good...they'll do me good for a while i'm sure...and cost about $172 shipped...

with stainless 2.5 inch testpipes...so lets just say the dp's alone woulda been like 100 shipped or so...as opposed to those 460 before shipping?

try the ebay ones, if you dont like 'em, get the czp ones...its worth risking the $100 just to see how much you may save.,..

if you ask me play it safe. because downpipes are a hell of a bitch to replace. so just play it safe. paying safe 460+ for good pipes. or pay 100+ for unknown pipes and risk blowing the welds to pieces and screwing your turbos over. but that's just meh.

I don't understand why this particular forum neglects AMZ so much? They make some good stuff and don't rip you off...

yah I'd get these. they look like they are worth it. welds are decent and they are in a really good prize range. think I might order those.

Neglected. Not from a malicious stand point. AMZ (Mitch) is not as widely known or have the same reputation as someone like COZ on this forum.

As more people like yourself come on and offer assistance and suggest the likes of AMZ, people will use him more and his reputation will begin to develop with members within this forum.

I do agree that Mitch has a good thing going. I myself ordered my headers from AMZ and was pleased with the product, price and the service.

another question..i dont want to start another topic

since im replacing the downpipes ill need the gaskets that go inbetween the dp and the turbo flange..i asked a local parts store they said they dont carry turbo gaskets, just your regular exhaust gaskets..where would be a good place to snag these from?

Give Coz a call. If he hasn't shipped them out yet and you have to buy them seperately, he can throw them on the order (save a couple of shipping bucks). If they come with it, he'll tell you and you are good to go.

ok i got em...i had to cut a old wrench to get like 1" total length of the wrench and then i went at it 1/4 turn at a time...sheesh...i hope the aftermarket downpipes are easier to bolt on then the stock crap...

anyways...i took them out...i check the turbos for play and there is just a slight little hint of a wiggle...i mean barely any.....and god are those things small and yet produce good power...

i took the flywheel and resurfaced it at the shop..looks awsome now...clutch and everything is ready to go, but im gonna wait till the pipes get in cuz its easier to get to them, i been cleaning the bellhousing and the back of the motor today whole day almost...
and I DONT HAVE A TORQUE WRENCH GAH!!! i went to local "tool" store...they have from 2-21 foot pounds and then from 50-200 foot pounds..nothing inbetween...

again thanks all...ill keep posting here for any more help and info...i really appreciate it...im gonna buy all of you a case of good old canadian beer...just have to drive up here hehe...

Skully, try Crappy Tire for the torque wrench. I have to admit, they have a decent tool loan program.
If you are looking to buy, keep an eye out at Sears. More times than not they have Craftsman torque wrenches an sale 1/2 price.
Love to see you're determination. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I'm having a good old Molson Canadian as I type

internal pieces like the refinished flywheel and clutch you won't get to see when it's all assembled.
