Set me straight on which ECU...
It looks like there are 3 options for ECU upgrade.
1. JWT ECU $520
2. Ashspec ECU $400
3. Z1 Motorsports ECU Upgrade $250
My car is a '93 convertible (na) with Stillen intake and 2.5" cat-back custom exhaust with x-pipe and Magnaflow mufflers. My goal is performance enhancement with engine safety being very important. I don't want to sacrifice reliability or engine longevity with this "upgrade".
Can somebody tell me the difference and pros/cons of each of these options and what I need to consider when choosing one?

Z1's ecu will be the same as the ashspec A-class
if you want safety, ashspec C-class would work
theres a big discussion i found on JWT vs ASH at zcar.com

I read the post and got an ECU education...Thanks for the link.
Will the Z1 ECU be safe too? I have a Z1 gift certificate and I'm thinking of using it on an ECU. If not, I'll go with the Ashspec and get something else with the gift cert.
