money is your limit. if you haev enough money your limits are no more. both of those havin bin done. wuite expensive. I'd go with the VQ45TT. from what i knwo the supercharged VG = caca

why not just go with an upgraded TT motor? SGP could help you on that. I mean, 600-800 rwhp is very possible on TT motors...that's not enough?

well ive got 6 thousand that im wanting to spend on a new motor or fix my motor with so thats not to much to work with but my friend just totaled his infinity thats got the vq45de that he'll give to me for exchange of working on his motrcycle so its basically free. but i wasnt sure if it was a swap that would cost more than a motor and s/c kit to keep mine the vg30dett. and im waiting on the quote for my paint job thats why i need things to be cheaper im not made of money even though it would be nice i got to take small steps to get this car the way i want it so i figured if there where any mods less than $100 dollars or free id do them to give me more power till i got this motor swap done and out of the way

Correct me if I'm wrong but the VQ45 is not an easy fit. Won't it sit up too high in the Z32 engine Bay?

If cash is in good supply which it sounds like it is you could do the vq45 swap! But it seems like your knowledge of these cars is limited as is mine!.... Howevwer I would Upgrade what came in your car learning to work on your car is awesome and 6g's is alot of upgrades on the VG30DETT! Swapping that motor is only been done once maybe twice i'd say with your limited knowledge of this car I would leave well enough alone! But do whta you like it's your car!

Also upgrading your car will not leave you out of a ride as long as swapping in the 4.5 do you have 2 cars?

i also have a 240sx but id rather only have my 300z out of commision for a week or so cause the 240 is not reliable ive seen the 450zxtt thats what sold me on putting it in my car i will try to contact them. the only thing i dont care for is u got to cut your hood i dont want people to know what im running untill after the race if they see a motor sticking out they wont want to race

ummmm....yeah..... the vq45 swap is gonna take just a little bit longer than a week.... how are your fab skills? do you have access to a machine shop, can you weld? i doubt you'll find a shop (in your price range) that is willing to do it. look at how long it takes these guys to get a vg30dett in an NA car. you can do quite a bit to the vg30dett with 6 grand, but again, some things are gonna take some time.

so you guys are suggesting to basically take it a step at a time and build up the vg30dett where would be a good place to start for the most horsepower and least down time?

Just do things like a pop charger, exhaust, and an ECU. That will be plenty fast. With my Stage III, I was able to beat up on porchse 911TT's, vipers, etc. If you can get an EBC and an SAFC and some dyno tuning. this will give your car hardly any downtime and will greatly increase your car's performance. Then do things like upgraded turbos and injectors when you get some time.

$6k doesn't go very far with these things. I know this all too well.
