suspension setup

I just bought several suspension parts for my Z32 but I don't know of a good place where I can take it to get it installed and set up right. I'm trying to get my car ready for the track. I am in Southern California (Anaheim).

Suspension

Most suspension parts are direct swaps, if you are changing them out with fully adjustable parts then you need to keep the lengths equal on either side of the car and after everything is installed take it to a shop and get an alignment done ( 4 wheel ) let them know what you replaced so they can look at it as far as when they try to put everything back to the correct angles ( or as close as possible ) remember if the height of the car drops too much then you will have camber adjustment problems etc. etc.

If by suspension parts you mean new coil overs or such. its pretty easy to take the old ones out and put the new ones in. Ride height adjustment isn't perfect the first time and will probably take you a couple times on the lift or under the car depending on what type you bought.

Suspension work on the Z is relatively easy. Go get dirty and save several hundred dollars.

yeah.... save the money... get some help if your uncomfortable.. how you take it apart is how it will go back together... its not to intimidating under there... and suspension is prolly the only place where you get a decent amount of room to work on a Z32... time to start learning..

btw, as for getting it set up (camber/toe/etc), talk to Specialty Z (I believe they're in San Diego).

I'm in the city of Riverside. I called around to check prices for installation and lowest price I found was $1000.00 That is crazy, I'll take your advise and do it myself, it can not be that hard.
I'm planning on going to California Speedway this March 24th so if anyone will be my Z is red.

One of the most common mistakes people make when installing new suspension parts is that they tighten everything without preloading the suspension. Don't make this mistake.
