Tire Wear????
Guys:
Need help for a friend of mine. He has a '90 TT and about 6 months ago got new tires put all the way around. At that time he had the car 4 wheel aligned. The other day he and I were tinkering and noticed that the tires were worn completely down to the metal on the inside of all 4 tires!!!
We took it back to the tire store and they re-checked the alignment and showed us the print out - everything was within specs!
What gives???

I had the same problem
I had the same problem. My car was lowered when I got it. Our cars are made to wear out the tires on the inside. It helps with traction when going through the corners. But if your car is lowered then the camber is increased. There is a kit made by 300 degrees. I purchased the kit from GRracing located back east ( www.eatricezone.com ). The only down side to the kit is the diffuculty to install it. My alignment shop used a different technique and got the camber back into stock specs. Of course it does will not as well with the camber set to stock specs but it will not go through tires as fast either. I would suggest that you take it to a professional and let them do the work. My alignment shop charged me $160 for 4 wheel alignment and also the machening to get the camber back to stock specs. good luck with it
