i smoked an s13 with a sr20det!!!! so stoked!!!
but not here to talk about that. i've noticed that most times, after ive reached speed and shift into neutral(coasting), the rpms dont really wanna go down to idle. it sorta revs high for a good couple seconds(around 5-8) before settling down. wut may be the problem, im pretty sure it cant be a normal thing. thx for the help out there fellas

My N/A does that as well.
My best guess would be because we still have the stock flywheel. All that weight will take some time to slow down. The lighter flywheels not only rev up quicker, they rev down quicker as well.

yea, that is abnormal. Sorry Rizz, nice try on this one. But mine always goes right down to idle speed. There's something wrong with your car. Most likely it's something like a vacuum leak or sometihing thereof. And yes, we can smoke sr20;s quite easily. We can also smoke 911 turbos and panteras. Oh, and the other day I absolutely raped a sport bike. A modded gsx-r. I'll tell you guys about that sometime...pretty funny.

i am with emo on this one....mine goes straight back to idle, or close to idle speed. I've noticed a bit of a hesitation problem on my Z too. i have to see what that could be. i know Emo had it too. did you ever fix it man?

I think mine's an injector...I'm going to try to get them ohm tested and see how that comes out and then get some money together to either spend the big bucks and upgrade or just replace the bad injector(s) with OEM ones.

You can do a few things. You can rev the motor via the throttle cable and listen for "hissing." A more accurate thing you can do is have it hooked up to a fogger machine at your local shop. It's pretty cheap (under $100) and it'll target it right away. Or you can go through all the vacuum hoses (there's a lot) and tighten them down and examine them thoroughly. Goof luck.
