TT and NA Gearbox Differences?

According to the workshop manual the two manual gearboxes have the same ratios, the only apparent difference is that the TT box holds more oil.

Is this the only difference? How do you tell the difference between the two externally?

The bell housing difference is the only thing different. Both bell housings are the same bolt pattern and will bolt up to either NA or TT motor. But the TT has a larger diameter flywheel than the NA. THus, when bolting a TT tranny to a NA, you will need to grind down some metal unless you also add a TT flywheel. Am i right on that guys? THat is what i have understood, and it seems logical.

Supposedly something to the effect that the NA clutch wont handle the power of a TT engine was what I was told. I dont see why they didnt jsut use the same flywheel and just change the clutch material or the clamping force with the springs. I think it is retarded myself.
