Turbos, funny noises

I was wondering if anybody can school me in what needs to be done when the turbos start to make a weezing or humming noise. it is a 92tt and i just started noticing it recently. i have been told that the turbo might be starting to give way already since the car has about 129000 miles on it, and yes the turbos are still stock. last i checked, a turbo with moderate usage should last about 100,000 miles. if this is the case then i know im probably goin to be in some serious cash flow spending, which is not to my liking at this moment. but, none the less, it still needs to be done. do any of you guys have any recomendations to what is preferrable? i am "NOT" looking into running single digits time slips, powerful boost peaks, or anything of that type of "beastlyness". i just want the car to run nice, smooth, and reliable, longevity wise. most people would just simply buy bigger turbos since they are going to be down there anyways, but i trully believe that the 300zx is already a powerful car. other than its engine bay space, it is trully exquisite in its engineering. i have a JWT intake, centerforce clutch, flyweel, and hks exhaust, and i am happy with those simple modifications. i dont think id do anything else past that other than maintinance care. any suggestions for this matter would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

refurbished stock turbos are expensive and JWT sport 500's are only liek 5 - 6 hundred dollars more expensive I'd go with Sport 500's

Z1 sells rebuilt factory units for around a grand for the set. They also sell brand new nissan units NOS stuff i guess for a little more than 1500. I was u and if u were not into performance ungradin of this nature I would go ahead with the brand new factory units. Or even better, i would try and find a unit comprable to the factory units...just ball bearing like the GT series from HKS. Anything else I can find will run u closer to 2 grand. If your goin that deep with a new set of turbos...u might want to go ahead and plan on doin some other stuff. Perhaps a new wiring harness, engine mounts, etc. Pulling these motors SUCK, I would go ahead and take care of many problem areas now while u have it broke down vs paying for twice the labor to pull it again 30k later. Just my thoughts..hoope I ve helped some.
BTW are u goin to pull it? Or are u havin it done?
