Turbo's locked up???
Hello all,
I have a 91 TT 2+0 I bought from an older gentlemen that had been setting for around 3 years with a car cover over it...I bought the car dirt cheap, aired up the tire and drove it home ( about 6 miles )...cleaned the whole entire car and did a tune up..The following week I drove the car maybe 4 times...I get sent off to work out of state and come back home..Get in the car and it won't start. Mind you when I first purchased the car it wouldn't go into boost , but it was able to start and drive etc...Now I can roll start the car , but it won't allow me to rev at all...I'm assuming with my experience's in these cars and other boosted cars that both the turbo's have seized up completely and not allowing any exhaust flow...Correct?...I'm just trying to get a little more info from some guys that are more experienced in these line of cars
Any info appreciated
Thanks

could be but I'd do a whole lot more diagnostics before just randomly replacing the turbos because YOU THINK THEY ARE BAD. I know a guy drove one with both turbos out didn't run fast but it did run. Check out the electrical end of things. even with the turbo locked you still get exhaust and air flow. take a look at a cutaway view and it will be clear.

Head removal?
Thanks for the quick reply...checked almost everything I could and noticed a massive oil leak once I got under car.I've pulled the engine and have it on a stand...turbo's are completely locked up,numerous oil leaks, and a massive mice nest lollolol...so I'm kinda glad I pulled it...also Imma need a clutch so ya know why not do it all at once...my next question is head removal?...I know about the 10mm bolts on the rear passenger and front driver, but I'm having a Huge difficulty getting the studs to break loose...I have a garage full of anything you would need to work with and I've tried everything I can think of and I'm scared to death I'm going to strip the bolts or break one off so anybody got any suggestions? Once again thanks
