Well, I've heard a couple different things recently about this. 1 is that you can't replace the u-joint on the factory driveshaft. The other is that you can replace it, but it costs almost as much as a new 1 piece driveshaft. I advise you go to www.z1motorsports.com. You can buy a brand new 1 piece steel driveshaft for about $275 (depending on your car).

91zxtt is right also on one piece driveshaft your joints are replacable, and z1 says that their 1 piece is more durable lighter and the price seems pretty resonable. i am def, gonna get one soon

That's right, you can replace the u-joints in the 1 piece driveshaft. They should last you about 100k miles, so you don't have to worry about it for awhile. I've also heard the 1 piece driveshaft will take .2 off your 1/4 mile. But, like I've said before,...any idiot can drive fast in a straight line. My advise, go with the 1 piece steel driveshaft.

yeah and the price is pretty good too. i just can't wait for the warm weather so i can put some parts on...i have a heater in a garage, but i just hate working in the cold. i like to go rally with my buddy in his $50 beater car it's a subaru loyale, and it is crazy. he also has a 91 600 hp tt z32 which we are rebuilding again! just tonight we hit a big pile of dirt after flying into the curve at 60 mph on gravel. this is a first time we eve hit anything, and thats bc we had some extra weight in the back

Dude, remind me to never let you in or near my car. It sounds like you're bad luck on the road.
