You aint going to be able to just bolt those Turbos on. It would end up costing you thousands to have them put on right. That being said. I would go with the Supercharger. I would go with the Supercharger because it will be somthing unique. Just my opinion, I would love to see a supercharged Z.

Re: what to do??? highly important!!!!!
Have you think about where in the engine bay you can place a supercharger? Don't want to rain in your parade but either instaling a supercharger or converting an NA to TT are not easy tasks.
A supercharger can, and some did but don't know the status, be located at the front of the engine but say goodbye to the A/C.
About instaling just two turbos to your engine even more complicated because you will need to lower the compresion, etc. get turbo exhaust, etc. etc.
If you need more information about converting your NA to TT go to twinturbo.net, get into the technical section and read about how to do it at the top of the page.
My advise, save you money and buy a TT.

Re: what to do??? highly important!!!!!
Here is a copy of the email I got back from Eaton on the pricing;
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
" Best candidate would be the M62 or MP62 witch will fit 2.0L to 4.0L fuel injected engines only, cost for these units will range from $1,185.00 to $1,500.00 and that's depending on the nose drive length you will be needing plus the shipping. Now, most applications see a 40% increase in horse power and a 5 to 6 lbs boost, you can gain more but it will depend on how you set-up your application. Please feel free in giving us a call at (805) 642-8833 if interested in doing so."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I also inquired about what other updates/mods should be done with the addition and they went on to say things like intake, injectors, new cam, headers/exaust. They did say that their "Magna Chargers were meant to work well with stock add-on applications but did not elaborate much more.

I also forgot to mention I was doing some reading and not sure if you found this or not on Twinturbo.net but there is a guy who has done this and has it working. Its still being assembled tested, tuned etc.. and he doesn't have any pics but at least he has been through it (unless he is the biggest BS'er around.)
His screen name is "Zerious" do a search for Supercharger and look for all his posts.

Re: what to do??? highly important!!!!!
well i read most of it but i still dont understand what he is saying. So he put on the s.c. w/o removing the a/c and i got lost from there i understand you have to change the compresion ratio if i want to boost over 6psi but h.t.f. do i do that he just said what he had done not how thats what i really need to know im going to do this i just need to know how. And for the most part how not to mess up my engine when i boost at high psi. Ahhhaarr im still confused but wether or not im still doing this. I do appriciate all the help and now that i have my camera when work gets underway i will post pictures and do a how to as best as i can instead of just talking about it... thanx man...
p.s. ill be taking plenty of pics for this weekend also so stay tuned for that

Re: what to do??? highly important!!!!!
Engine shop is going to have to lower the compression ratio for you if im correct. Your going to have to go to a performance shop and see what can be done. I can't wait to see what you come up with, even if you get deployed that will just be more money to spend on the car =)
btw. Marines blow....US Army MP corp baby, thats where its at! =p

Re: what to do??? highly important!!!!!
I know what you mean. His descriptions and explanations were kind of out there and really seemed broken up. I don't like their forum layout in twinturbo.net, ZDrivers forum kicks their ***. They do have some awsome technotes though with pictures!! I read up on the Electric SuperChargers yesterday. I was so excited when I first started then 'poof' there went the bubble when I started to think about the real gains at the tires! If you could make another auxilary battery system (adding weight to the car of course) and blast longer current draws through a higher powered electric motor to get past the 1PSI boost it might be worth it. Otherwise it seems like a lot of time and effort spent for a tiny return.
I may look more on designing my own Electric version since my background is in electronics and design. My initial thoughts are creating a lower power drawing, slower to accelerate fan but using a type of flywheel to maintain momentum with a type a valve operated input into the intake. This would allow for build up of pressure, like a compressor, until needed. just a thought at this point!!

Re: what to do??? highly important!!!!!
wow that sounds awsome...and let me know if that plan becomes reality b/c i might have to have you make some upgrades for my engine but yes i do know what you mean about getting past the 1psi but again i dont think those guys really know what they are talking about yes its a lot of power but if you can get the right compresion ratios and what not i think it will well be worth the return but once again i am kind of confused about what they were saying but all i know is that sometime here in the future i will have a s.c. nissan 300zx n/a putting out over 300 hp on just a few mods!!!....then once i get rolling on everything else ooohhhhh maybe that post about a 650 hp n/a might come true with mine whoa!!!!! i never thought about that till just now holy [censored] !!!!! awsome

Re: what to do??? highly important!!!!!
I am seriously thinking about doing this to my NA as well. I was just back on the Eaton Superchargers web site "browsing" and got another itch. I went over to the Magnuson site and grab the physical dimensions diagram and some simple layout drawings.
I am going to try and fashion up a scale model, ok a carboard thing as close to the real deal as possible to see what the fit is going to be like. Have you done any planning on mounts, air flow ?
Let me know how far along your planning is.
