winding noise?

what is that winding sound from the engine, it follows with the acceleration. i checked for the common reasons for most cars but didnt notice anything wrong. i havent really looked to hard yet, and am hopeing you guys can tell me before i start getting into it. it just started doing it like two days ago and i live in pennsylvania, its been around 45 out the past couple of days. the reason i mentioned the temp is because my old vr6 would do that when it was really cold but that would stop once the car warmed up, it was the sensor on it. help please thanks.

My z32 is doing the same thing you can hear it in between gears especially and it speed up or slows depending on engine rpm.

hrm...old belts?

If they get cold or are getting old, they tend to give a little whine that goes up and down w/ the RPMs, but keep the car going strong....might want to get under there and check em out.
