Contact your local Alternator shop... just about every city in the USA has at least one.

You can also use the 140amp alternator from the Infinity I30. Only requires slight bracket modification that can be done with common tools (i.e. drill).

Pics are dead, but if you email the thread starter, I'm sure he still has copies.

... did you not read my response about the I30 alternator? 130amps and only requires you to a couple things like change the pulley and drill a new hole in the tensioning bracket.

If you end up needing a TT alt though, I have one for sale.

In my experiance with this car and alternators I have found one common truth:

Rebuild = waste of time and money.

These cars eat generic or rebuilt parts. It only took me 4 alternators to figure this out.

Take this advice foir what it's worth, I like Zlover's idea though.

EBAY

I got a used TT alternator off ebay for 30 dollars and it lasted me 2 years.

That was a pretty solid deal.

It may not be the same way for you, but it was more then worth it for me.

And for what you would pay for a rebuild, why not just buy the bigger alternator?
