Z32 N/A KA24DE Swap

Okay okay, let me get this out of the way. I dont want to hear a word about thats crazy or stupid. All I want to know is has anyone ever done it?

It makes too much sense to me, less weight, lower engine mounting, same power and torque

Anybody done it, or tried it?

http://www.answers.com/topic/nissan-vg-engine

The 3.0 L (2960 cc) VG30DE produces 222 hp and 198 ft.lbf. Bore is 3.43 in (87 mm) and stroke is 3.27 in (83 mm).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_KA_engine

Bore × Stroke: 86.0 × 86.0 mm
Displacement: 1998 cc
Max power: 123 hp (92 kW) @ 5600 rpm
Max torque: 128 ft·lbf (174 N·m) @ 3200 rpm

Valve Configuration: DOHC, 16 valves
Compression ratio: 9.5:1
Doesn't look like they have the same power outputs.

Do humanity a favor and sell your Z. it doesn't deserve such a potentially abusive owner.

VG >>>>> KA
3000cc >>>>> 2400cc

If you're going to do any engine swap, it better start with VG and end in TT.

Zlover is a very very very passionate person. Sometimes I think he is a grumpy old man who hits kids with brooms when they walk on his lawn.

I agree the KA shouldn't go into the Z.. but the KA has some good potential in the 240sx. I have a fully built ka24e-t that I *think* would give some of you guys a run for your money. (mean this in a nice way.. not smart *** way)

I'm putting an L20b in my 280zx turbo. It bolts right up to the stock tranny and will have better weight distribution.

It was more harsh... I editted it. And I'm not just passionate about z cars, I'm also a misanthrope, so that only doubles the extremity of my responses.

Ha! I'm the same way about my lawn... I get pissed if someone walks on it, especially right after I mow it.
