but then some damn kid stole my mtx 7500 outa the garage

annoying kids really....stupid too. they give me 15 bucks for 3 packs of cigs

15 bux for 3 packs isnt bad around these parts...in cook county they are 6 dollars a pack, in chicago 7 something...once out of though you cna get them in the 4's or even 3's per pack

i guess i should clarifiy a little more. i bought them 3 packs of reds for 9 bucks or so, and profitted 5+ from it.
and the gas station is walking distance
i dont smoke cigs, so i dont really care that much, and i think they should keep raising the price so people will quit

Don't listen to him, I think his suspension was unhealthy (not to mention, he has no true experience with Z32 TTs as he owned an NA - no offense Eric). It's even more strange because the shock/spring combo on the NA was 20% softer than the TT's.

The Z32TT CAN be smooth... but it truly depends. The stock TT suspension is electronically adjustable. When set on touring, it is pretty smooth (and definately stable, as Eric said). When set on stiff, it can be very harsh.

This is the reason I stick with fully adjustable suspensions. I have Tokico Illumina shocks up front (on a custom coilover system) and the stock shocks in the rear, but my stock rear shocks no longer have the actuators on them (short story - they're a bitch to put back on if the bracket was bent and I valued the weight savings over the work to put them back on properly). I generally only do street driving, so my suspension stays at full stiff most of the time.

But when I get on the highways, I fully regret full stiffness. If the highway is crappy, the ride is rediculously harsh (I've actually wondered if I had a bent wheel, until I got on a better stretch of highway and the harshness vanished). Once my stock rear shocks fail, I will be switching to KYB AGX rears and I will soften everything up next time I'm on the highway.

So long story short: the TT can be smooth if set to touring (or the softer setting on aftermarket adjustable shocks) and the suspension is in good shape.

i shouldnt have jumped on that smooth thing, when i had my NA it had the rims with low pros and most liekly already blown suspension...then i got the GR-2's so i never really had stock suspension... so im no realy comparrison...the z32 was not made for road feel elimination...aka drive a big ole suv or lincol town car and you get to noce gentle ride and get into a z32 the ride can seem very rough, i should left it with that i guess and not just a leave it wiht the imprssion i think the harsh ride is coincided with all z32's and i mean harsh....

edit: also you heard its pretty damn smooth at high speeds....so yes that is treu, when you get some cars up to high speeds they can get squirly and feel like a **** ride, in the z32 its going to be much more solid, and i shouldnt have assumed that there definition of smooth is like driving on glass or something.....my bad

ams performance is right by me....do you have any idea HOW MUCH MONEY they put into that motor......they mostly work on DSM's now anyways, only one person there doesnt drive either a talon or evo and thats the tim guy (i think) who built that KA.

still questioning why you want to put a 4 cyl into the z32. i guess to be different. it would be a lot easier to get to 800 by swapping a TT engine in.

Hugely resounding 2nd. the VG30DETT at 800hp will also be much more responsive than a KA24 at 800hp due to the fact that it can do it with smaller turbos and less boost with more displacement.

horsepower can sometimes be obsolete. Torque is what becomes the issue when dropping two cylinders. Also, you said that it was cheaper. It would def. cost more (WAY MORE) to fab up mounts, etc to swap in the KA and the price of the motor and all the mods to get you to say 400rwhp than to swap in a VG with upgraded turbos (sport 500s will get you to 400rwhp no prob).

z32 is heavy, you want all the torque you can get. this is not accomplished by moving down in the engine food chain.

You know i love you guys....right.....

Listen.....I got my reasons.....

My budget is 15k including the car and my goal is 1.1 in the skid pad and 10.5.

Listen I have my reasons, but yeah i think I can do my goals for far less (around 12k and yes that included the car)

I was just hoping some company put out the mounts, but i will go custom i dont think anybody has mounts that will put the engine as low and back and far as I want it.

My custom mounts and complete tranny crossmember cost me ~$20 in material on one car, Not even a finger nails worth, let alone an arm or a leg.

did you make them yourself though? mabye he isnt good at fabbing things up which i just concluded from his "looking for a kit" cuase paying someone to make custom mounts and put in the motor and tranny and then custom drive shaft can be very expensive if you have to pay an outside party to do it...raw materials wise it wont cost much...
