Time to do some work: Is this ok?

lol, stillen is a great company, only prob is, they dont make alot of their own parts, they are just re-named and raised price japanese products. and nismo is just already really high priced japanese products. wither way, i wouldnt go with either. sept maybe stillen SMIC's for the Z32, and nismo injectors for the same car.

I did it! w00t!
first oil change done and my car still runs.... amazing. This aint no L28 fooz!
oil changes are actually pretty easy to do. The splash shield fully protects the engine which is nice. Keeps it super clean. The oil filter is really easy to get to on this engine and it doesn't leak oil on the engine mount when removed. (like the L28)
this car is just so low even with stock springs....

Allright!
Yeah oil changes are very easy once you get that shield off....and thats not hard just time-consuming. My car has been lowered and has a body kit but I have no trouble getting it up on the low profile Rhino ramps. Reminds me...she's due for an oil change next month.

nice thing about the Z32 when i had it was it was a full splash shield down there to, but they had openings molded in them for access to the oil drain plug and oil filter so you didnt have to remove anything.

and yeah dude, there is a splash shield, splastic one, covers a good area under the engine. dont you have one?

Hey Bleach, how often do you plan on changing the oil on the 350? I generally change mine twice a year.....but since I only put 4,000-5,000 miles a year on the car and I use synthetic oil, I wonder if once a year is enough? Anyone have any opinions on this?

Right now I'm not using synthetic. I plan to change it every 5000 miles.
I will probably drive less than 10,000 miles a year.
In my truck I run synthetic (since the original owner did since new) and change the oil and filter every 10k miles. K&N oil filters only on that one. They are made to last longer.

change every 3 months or 3k miles. if its in the tank longer and you dont put much on it, the oil starts to build moisture since it doesnt get hot and also it wil start to create acids in the oil from sitting. just happens.

hmmm. from maintanence class maybe. i wouldnt just make that up, and if its being tought in college, im sure there mechanics/teacher didnt make it up either. i wouldnt let oil sit for any longer than 5 months.

yeah not worth payin money to get my old oil checked when i pay 10k a year at college and get told that. oh and its aviation maintanence, something taken much more seriously than auto mobile maintainance so im sure they have checked that, nothing is made up in the aviation world, excpet the FAA stamp of aproval on parts, thats BS. lol
