Question

What is wrong with the A/C and do you have some pictures of the rust?

I'm assuming that at a minimum it needs to be charged with Freon. Beyond that, I haven't done any investigation. The blower and heating side of the system seem to work fine. I can upload additional photos of the rust tonight or tomorrow morning.

Question

If it is a freon issue, then it has a leak at bare minimum. When was the last time that you remember the A/C working?

I just recently inherited the car from a friend so I don't have a good answer to your question. Sorry.

No problem, however any potential buyer must assume everything in the A/C system needs to be replaced if you don't know how long it has been working. Every seal could be leaking, the compressor could be bad, along with the evaporator, etc.

I will wait for the pictures of the rust and any other imperfections you are aware of.

Attached are a couple of quick photos I took this morning of the rust spots. Let me know if you want photos of anything else.
