1981 Datsun 280zx Turbo 5spd $2000 - Need it gone

Hey everyone,

I wanted to start with having lost the title a bad on me for not keeping it in a secure spot. I never smogged the car because we don't do smog in my area for car that are 20 years or older, registration and tags are still up to date and expire in May this year.

I have a 1981 Datsun 280zx Turbo originally was a non turbo, I did a 1983 280zx turbo full drivetrain swap that had 70k miles when pulled it from the 83 zxt. I have had this Z since 2007 and loved every minute of it but unfortunately I must part due to no work and need money to pay the bills. Before I did anything to the car when I worked nights on a weekend someone decided to run into the car don't know how it happened or who did it which still makes me angry. I tried to do the best to fix it with a budget so its still gonna need body work mostly front end work does have some small rust and few dents nothing major still has the original paint intact & original interior. I have a mostly straight parts car of the same year and color that will fix most of the bad parts I'm including with the sale. I am not interested in any trades already have other car I can drive until I get money for another one I'm looking for cash money. If you are willing to work with me I can either get the title which would takes 3-5 weeks threw our DMV or we go together and sign it over to your name right there and then that easy.

List of things I have done:

AiResearch T3/TO4E Turbo
87 Z31 ECU & MAF
MSA front & back sway bars w/ polyurethane bushing
Megan 3" muffler
old school MSA air dam
Turbo CV Axles
Stock R200 3.90
MSD Blaster SS Coil
Steeda Tri-Ax Short Shifter
16'' Ultra Mesh wheels (16x7)
Koyo Aluminum Radiator dual electric fans
eBay H4 Headlights with HID 6000k kit
New Cap & Rotor
New Spark plugs & Wires
Tune up & oil change

I'm looking to let her go for $2000 cash money.
Feel free to send me a PM or Text me 541-844-7556

For some reason its not letting me post from my photobucket but i added a lot of pics here.

#1: I strongly suggest getting a new title. It shouldn't take 3-5 weeks... more like 3-5 days. If it's going out of state, it can't (or is near impossible) to be registered without a title from the previous registered state. A local state transfer of title or new title request form won't likely be valid in another state. I went through this trying to register a motorcycle from CA in UT without a title. It was painful.

#2: You never mentioned your location. I assume Oregon from your area code 541?

#3: Is the car road-trip worthy? 500+ miles?

#4: Have you posted this on your local classifieds?

In Oregon it does take 3-5 weeks that's what the official Oregon DMV website states it, but really more like 3 weeks since I have done it before.

I went threw the ad and yes I did forget that's my fault I am located in Medford, Oregon.

I wouldn't know if 500 miles but the car the engine/trans came out of that I drove from Sacramento California to Oregon 300+ miles did it no problem even when it has a bad manifold exhaust gasket. I don't see why it would be a problem driving it that far.

I have it posted on Craigslist, Ratsun.net & HybridZ.org I have a few potential buyers they don't mind that it doesn't have a title they said they can easy get it as long as I have a bill of sale which I do. I understand the concern for having no title but it's a car I've had for 6 years and never had an intention to sell. I moved quite a few times and in one of those moves the title was lost I've been looking for it for a long time no luck. I have delt with cars having no title before don't know laws in any other state but i have gotten titles for cars I bought cheap in the past.
