83' 280zxt
I am selling my 83' 280zxt. I will try to get a few more pictures if anyone is interested. When I reassembled the front timing cover I must of pinched one of the gaskets because there is a SMALL oil leak in the front timing cover. I was in the process of dyno tuning it when it started to leak so the session was ended before it could be tuned.
The car starts up and idles very well but it NEEDS to be tuned. It is drivable but I would definitely not suggest trying to drive it on the street with it's current tune. This car would be perfect for someone who is looking for a project car. I would say the car is at least 90% finished.
The body was recently redone by a well respected proffesional, I had no part in any of the body work or paint. I believe the paint is gloss black with midnight blue pearl in the clear coat.
As much as I would like to keep the car and finish it I simply can't. I am leaving for the Military and even if I do fix the timing cover leak and have it tuned it would not be wise to keep it. I have no access to a garage or tools, which is not a good combination with this kind of car.
With a little time and money this car could be a good looking, fast and reliable sports car. It already has all the parts, it just needs someone to do the finishing touches.
I am asking $4,000 or best offer. I am leaving next month so if it is not gone by then it will have to sit in my parents driveways for 4+ years. So please make me an offer with whatever you think is reasonable.

Great looking Z. Good luck on the sale.
This car is worth the $4,000.
Thank you for your service!
Slight envy here, I hope to join soon. Just need to repair some debts.

Some people requested more pictures but my Email won't let me send big files so I am going to post them on here.
In case you are wondering why there is no intercooler piping in the engine compartment pictures, it is because they are from last summer but not much has changed since then. If you are seriously interested and want any other pictures or info let me know. The interior picture is up to date, there are two cracks in the dash that are not shown in the picture but like I said I have a new dash cover that comes with the car.

Wow.....nice car! I would think she might be worth more than 4K from what I've seen on Ebay.
If I didn't just spend a bunch of $$ getting the 240 painted, I'd be interested.
