This new choke cable bracket eliminates two problems associated with the center console-mounted choke cable levers in Series 2 240Z's and early 260Z's. (From late 1971 through 1974)

With this bracket kit, you will be able to mount the choke adjustment lever onto the transmission tunnel, instead of its original attachment point on the center console. This will eliminate the chance of cracking the console in one of its weakest points, helping to make sure your interior remains as pristine as possible. An extra benefit is the ease in which the center console can now be removed from the car, without having to fight with removing the choke lever.

This kit is also different from others that have been written up & discussed in the past, in that, the hardware provided is small enough to prevent from pushing the center console upwards from the bottom - this can cause damage over time as well. Using our kit, this side effect, inadvertently caused by other bracket solutions, is eliminated.
