Unhappy FS 1983 280ZX 2+2 slicktop $500 + PICS

Rebuilt motor with 10-12,000 mi (est), competition clutch, decent body, mag wheels, power everything, rear louvers and a front air dam. Sadly this car must be sold as is. I can not part out in my neiborhood, title is lost and the guy I bought it from in 2003 dissapeared. stored off and on since then, I have drove it off and on, un-micky rigged the stuff previous owner did, (cause they were gonna rally it) and is currently in running condition.

some slight rust in the usual places, interior fair with some moisture damage
tall gears, dark tinted windows and a big gas tank. Sorry no pics of the engine or interior as my camera phone does not do details well.

This guy's story was along the lines of; he didn't transfer the title right away and ended up having the paper title stolen out of his other car.
The moral of the story is, dont' wait until your car is running before you transfer that title. Do it right away like is required by law.

Looks like a decent car.

oh well anyway

You know Bleach, I would have registered it after I bought it, but in 2003 WA still required emmissons upon title transfer, I tried to get it to pass, but when it didn't, I figured I'd just wait untill it was 25yrs old, so no emmissions required, then pay the penalty for not registering withing the 15 day period.
It would have been a small price to pay for me to drive this classic Z car

I see. I was able to get around that by stating that a car was inopperable and they had me fill out a form. You may have run into a stern DVM employee. Every location is different.
