Angel Eyes

Angel Eyes
The economy has forced me to continue making the angel eyes for a little while. $70 shipped gets you the angel eyes with lengths of wire long enough to exit the headlight and additional lengths of wire with resistors soldered in-line (and I can email writeups for removing headlights if necessary - disassembly is pretty straight forward and I can certainly answer any questions on the subject). Only color available at the moment is white (which is technically the only legal color anyway).
Installation requires drilling small holes into the headlight housing to run wires, plus any other modifications necessary for power (whether you tap into sidemarkers or run a switch into the cabin). You'll need only basic tools (10mm socket for removing headlight, basic screwdrivers for disassembling headlight), a heat gun, drill, and electrical supplies (crimp connectors or soldering iron, plus wire to reach wherever you're wiring them to).
Email me at rocdahous1@aol.com for additional information or to place orders - currently first come first serve. I'm making 3 sets at a time until sales pick up, at which point I'll probably make 5 sets a week. Accepting paypal only (and willing to do cash in person if local to Chicagoland).

he has an S30 now so i am guessing he COULD make them. but i believe he would want a certain amount of commitment to purchase before he did. he described how they were made once, not incredibly hard but still not fun at all.

By the sounds theres already 3 or 4 people wanting them. could just do a write up on the general ideas or at lest the supply's
Downfall to the S30 and S130 is the fact you would have to have composite headlights

They could be made for the S30... they'd probably mount to the silver ring around the headlight. Give me a while to try it out and I'll post them for sale if it can be done effectively (the headlights are so much larger that my only concern would be the light reaching all the way around without dim spots) - I really wasn't sure how the classic Z people would respond to such a mod.

DUDE.. how we would respond... are you serious.. this woudl be so sick on an S30/130 GET ER DONE BRO! and add me to the list of buyers if u get them working right and reliably on the s30. definetly looking forward to it.

lol, alot of nostalgic people would probably think its blasphemous. and worse comes to worse use 2 LED's and make it in two halfs. but im guessing it would increase price a bit for the extra supplies

Well I already use 2 LED's inserted into the ends of the ring... if the ring is too large for the light to make it all the way around, I may have to drill into the rings perpendicularly and use 3 positioned evenly around the ring (which may require a different type of LED to not weaken the plastic too much), rather than the two at the ends. I'll give it a shot tonight or tomorrow.
And yeah, there are a lot of purists in every Z community, just figured there'd be more in the classic generations. I never post these for sale on tt.net because nobody on there would buy them... lol And when I showed the original owner pics of my 240Z (I got it from the guy who bought it from him), he was disappointed that it has an L28ET and fender flares... even said it's not a Z anymore (he has a MINT 73 that was completely restored to Nissan spec).

I saw something neat. See if you can hook that light ring to the headlight bucket itself around the light

Considering the tight clearance between the headlight and bucket, I'm sure it could be secured either way... I'd just recommend attaching it to the headlamp itself in case you ever want to remove it - that way, it wouldn't damage the paint of the headlight bucket.
And Eric, I completely agree...

so... dumb question... do those project light? or are they just there for looks when it's almost dark? either way, good idea, because they look great.

Bump. I have a discounted set available. They didn't come out as perfect as others, but it'd be a shame to throw it out given that, when installed, they'll look fine. This set is available in blue or white. $50 + shipping
I'm still making these, for anybody interested. Email me - rocdahous1@aol.com
I've also simplified the installation a bit.
S30/S130 guys - I haven't had a chance to try making them for you, yet... been busy. I'll try to get to it soon though.
