100 Coolest Cars...

From Automobile magazine. Two Zs made it, the Z32TT (#99) and the 240Z (#55).

The VW Bus came in at #100! FTW!!!

Heres the complete list:

the TT is always winning stuff like that, glad to see a S30 do some justice though.

.....and some nice words for the Tree Fiddy also

I was surprised at some of the autos left off the Automobile mag. list: No Supra or RX-7 or NSX. And where's the Pantera??

NSX usually makes it, i hardly ever see supra or RX-7 in there though, never a pantera.

interesting

not sure what qualifies a car as "coolest" but you do have to wonder if whenever you leave a car parked in one place long enough someone leaves a note on the windshield asking if you "are interested in selling this car" makes it cool, then the Z32 should be higher on that list!

That list was weak. Citroen had 3 cars. No NSX Z32 #99. Hell a vw bug and a miata were in the 70's. I will never buy that magazine.

the miata is a pretty amazing car, it may not have alot of *****, but its one of teh best handling cars out of the factory, they are VERY well balanced, the VW bus though is kinda weak, and there were a coupe OK citroen's.

i have no problem going out of state to get one. i know of a few good places to get them. and they are not terribly expensive. i could get a mild restoration project for well under $20k.

I agree! While 911s and old Vettes are definitely cool cars.....NO WAY they are cooler than Ferraris, Lambos....or the aforementioned Pantera.

at least a De Tomaso made the list. the Mangusta was a nice car, and the predecessor to the Pantera, but i still prefer the Pantera.

And where the heck is the Alfa 33 Stradale??? first production car with Dihedral Doors. 10,000 rpm 2.0l V8, fuel injected, 2 plugs per cyilnder, 270hp. and all this in 1967. and lets not forget it is one of the sexiest cars ever made. WTF??

tell me that's not cooler than a Stingray.

That list was in an issue last year. The current issue has the 25 most beutifull cars ever broken down to 5 cars in 5 categories. Off the top of my head I think they listed the top 5 drivers cars as E30 M3, Ferrari F430, Lotus Elan, 1st gen VW GTi?, don't remember the last one.

edit: yes, I want a Pantera too.

Mate, if I could have ANY car on that list it would be a DB9...cool but not overly flamboyant and liveable.
