Everyone should at least somewhat care about politics because it directly affects you. Plus I'm a polisci major.

If voting for a president was more than choosing the lessor of two evils, then more people would vote. I think many people feel that we're damned if we do and we're damned if we don't.

Here's my solution....
91zxtt for prez in '08.
I don't think I've told any of you about my 'Nuke 'em all' proposition. It involes lots of sand and lots of heat. The by product is lots of glass and the war in middle east is over.

Politically............ The social conservatives scare me, and yet the liberals petrify me. I'd vote center-right. Fiscally, liberals should be shot and the country should be run based on a profit / loss statement with tax increases tied to the rate of inflation, or 1/2 the rate of inflation.

hmmmm, would I vote for 91?

What if I gave you stickers? Would you vote for me then?

Here's a question,.....Why do we never hear about anything good happening in the Middle East? It's always about suicide bombers and rebel attacks. It's always negative. I hate the news.

I'm actually a bit more concerned about N. Korea. That friggin' guy over there has multiple screws loose. Why did we go after Saddam & Iraq when we didn't know 100% where he had weapons of mass destruction or if he had them at all? Why didn't we go after N. Korea when they came right out and basically said that they have nukes and they're not afraid to use 'em? Or so says the media.

Anyone know of Lewis Black? I may not have his 1st name spelled right, but he's a comedian that uses politics as part of his bits. That guy is hilarious. You all should check listen to him at least once.

because, unfortunately, thats what gets ratings.

one word, oil. saddam had nothing at all to do with 9/11, but they used it as an excuse to go in. dont get me wrong, i'm glad hes caught, i was just off the coast of iraq when they got him and it was cellebration time on the ship. but how many of our guys have died since "mission accomplished"? and we leave korea alone, with nukes and that wacko Kim Jong Il or whatever in charge.

We didn't go after N. Korea because we know they're not afraid to use nukes. As soon as we attack, we have a nuke coming our way. Not what we want.

Gas prices have doubled... and it's not helping keep the idiots off the road here. As for politics.. I never have understood them really, cause well my parents always told me to vote democrat and never explained why, and well when you see em on t.v. they always try to talk their way out of the debate question and into another one... ex: if we were to ask about the war in Iraq .. they would go into something about protecting the people of the US. Now don't get me wrong.. I understand that protecting the US is a major thing here... but don't we wanna go after the people with the direct means of hurting us? And who the heck makes up the questions they ask.. You can't tell me that it is anyone who has anything meaningful to ask. They should let us ask them questions Via email or something and answer them on air, and when they try to change the subject we should be able to push a button and make soupy jello fall on them. It'd keep em on the subject

I want stickerz!!!... If ya give me some I'll vote for ya

but there is no shortage of oil. the oil companies have used the war as an excuse to artificially boost the price. oil companies are all recording record profits right now, off the charts, yet gas prices continue to rise. highway robbery is all it is, just price gouging, it has nothing to do with supply. if it wasnt about oil, then why did i spend 6 months staring at an oil platform right off the coast of iraq? there were a bunch of ships there, and our main duty was to guard this oil platform.

Anyone here find it a bit disturbing that the man in charge is heavily invested in oil?? There was an investigation into price fixing with oil companies and the results were that there was no price fixing. My a$$. Big oil and Big tobacco control politics.

As far as North Korea goes, no it's not because we're afraid that they'll use nukes against. If the war in Iraq is really to find Al Quaida (sp?) because they pose an immediate threat to our safety, then why would let N. Korea do continue to do this? It's because there's no oil in N. Korea? It's not about safety for the American people. It's about $. Why don't we work on improving the quality of life for Americans? Why don't we work on improving the education system instead of building more B1 bombers and aircraft carriers? We're the ones paying taxes, so why don't they do more work here and create more jobs here? Fix the social security system. Fix medicare/medical and improve the overall medical care system. Some stealing from the poor and giving to the rich. How about a bit more equality. If you make more $, then you deserve to pay more taxes. You shouldn't be able to pay some high priced CPA to find an investment to hide your $. You should be puting $ back into the system instead of rat-holeing it. If you live in the USA, then you should be investing in the USA. If you want to put $ into a Swiss bank account, then move there and the f*ck out of my country if you don't respect it enough to put your $ behind it. Where's Robin Hood when you need him?

My .02.

yeah....... the real disappointment is in the fact that they're so blatant about it.
