depends on the mood, most of the time I'll play some hard rock or something kind of upbeat, like some 99 red balloons by goldfinger.

Old or new metal/rock. Metallica, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, Pantera...
I also like to listen to trance/electronica occasionally.

jazz (not that kenny g trash) like medeski martin and wood, or some old stuff like mingus or coultraine. old skool gangsta rap like easy e, ice cube, old dre & snoop. fast paced raver techno when i'm hauling ***. and whatever else finds its way into my cd player. i listen to just about anything but country, depending on my mood.

I'm usually listening to rap, like some Dre., Snoop, Wu-Tang, Mr. Doc., Rakim, Andre Nickatina or Cypress Hill. But sometimes some classic rock like some Hendrix, Zeppelin, Ted Nugent and rockin some AC/DC or Guns N Roses.
I also listen to some techno/dance music, so I guess just a little bit of everything. It helps to have an iPod in your car, I've got everything from Michael Jackson to Black Sabbath. I guess I prefer any type of turntabilist/rap type tracks.

Hehe, I have a couple MP3 CD's I titled my "Driving Master" collection. They have folders for every driving occasion, from intense racing, to cruising, to road trip -type songs. The racing stuff is naturally techno, trance, or rock. The cruising stuff is 70's, House, etc.

Joe Satriani, Gary Hoey or Liquid Tension work best for me behind the wheel.

i've got an ipod, so i created playlists depending how hard i want to run my car...when i go all out, and wanna drive it like i stole it, i just roll my window down a bit, then push the power off on the cd, downshift and let my exhaust do the singing.
