last night i was at the dyno with my friend tuning his talon. its pretty built but it wasnt tuned to its potential. anyway we were down there from like 5:30 to 8:00ish and he made 5 runs. the first run the car was only at 277whp and 289 ft. lbs. of torque and by the time we left Minh the guy who runs the shop had it up to 307whp and 318 ft. lbs. just by messing with the air fuel ratios. it was crazy. and i know that you guys all like to dis on hondas but they have a civic drag car up at there shop making just shy of 900whp and i gotta respect that even if it is a honda. it was insane how much i learned just buy listening to Minh. just thought i share my first dyno experience. pretty bitchen

The thing is, with front wheel drive, it's impossible to put the horsepower to the ground unless you get one of those ugly wheelie bar type things. When you stop on the gas, the weight transfers to the rear and the wheel spin will be awful. It's still a Civic. 900HP is impressive, but most are so riced out that it ruins it for the few that are done respectably.

I sort of agree, but I'll always have a little itty bitty teeny weeny place in my heart that respects the well-done Civics. There are some really quick ones, and, dare I say it, some good looking ones out there too. Just because a car is stereotyped shouldn't influence your opinion about any one particular car.

Even though I am the "Anti-Rice", I have to respect 900hp from a 4-banging Civic. That is NOT rice, rice is the losers that spend more on the damn stickers than the motor. 900hp from a Civic is amasing! But I still wont buy one.
