Hooray For Snow!

Why? Because it's not enough to ski on, but it is enough to make me stay inside and get some work done on the car. Maybe I'll even get it done before the end of the year! Hahahaha, yeah, right, that's a good one...
Two days old, and the snow is still on the ground (but not the streets). Can't see the Divide due to the unusually heavy cloud cover, and the Flatirons are out of view to the left. Just a quick pic out the window for fun.

Well, I thought it might get your attention. It's worse than that, though, my skiing is actually classic, waxless Nordic skiing! Doesn't get more retro-grouch than that. Short of dog-sledding, perhaps. Thinkin' about going boarding and/or DH skiing this year.

how is it less expensive??? skiing is better, snowboarders just slide down the hill on their butts and fall over right in my way. and they like to fall over getting off the lift too, silly neandrethals.

the shitty ones do..and its a challange gettin off the lift with only one foot...and boarding isnt about goin down hill...its about terrain....and its less expenisive...trust me...you find the most expensive skii and the most expensive board....and you tell me which is cheaper...i shouldnt even say that....skii's matched with the same quality board.....its much cheaper...and skiiers are the ones that fall infront of me...never had a boarder go down in front of me....and the skiirs think they own the hill...thats why we gots terrain parks...its all about the rails and ramps bro.....aka go big or go home.

More fresh snow in the mountains by the end of the week, and a bunch of the resorts and backcountry areas are pretty busy already. I can see the end of the restoration of my '78 in sight, and I can tell I won't want to drive it if it's snowy or even rainy outside. Need a new winter vehicle while I rehab my pickup. What about this one: http://adcache.collectorcartraderonl...4/85923834.htm
Good, reliable winter transportation, right? Of course, "Call For Price" isn't usually a good sign...

Dude! You could have your own Cat! Then you'd have to groom all your neighbors yards

The other option is this giant Cat (probably D9) dozer that's about a mile from my house. I'm sure it hasn't moved in ten years, and probably a lot longer than that. I bet I could offer to just haul it away and get it for free. I've always wanted a bulldozer (no good reason, I just think they're cool). And that'd be good in the snow, too.
Maybe I should finish some of my current projects first, before I purchase derelict heavy equipment...

lucky, i want a d9 there hell of expensive, the tracks on the one my brother runs are like 75 thousand a piece...and the last time i was riding with him he broke it so they blamed it on me...i was pist but they were hell of worn so the company paid.
