how do you catch a parot?

So there is a piar of parots that have showed up in my yard and they probably belonged to someone close and escaped or were set loose. I'd like to catch'm. Dont know how to catch a bird without using a BB gun. Any pointers? Tricks? I dont want to hurt them, just tryin to keep them from getting scrubbed by the local hawks and falcons. Cought one on camera today . .

they make live traps for birds get one and put food in it, and put it in the tree. keep an eye out for lost fliers you can probably get a nice reward if you catch them. I can't tell what kind they are with that one pic get more and i can tell ya how much they are worth.

serisoly.. have u ever see nthat trick with the box ? the stick ? and the string ? but in this case get a metal bird cage open it up fro mthe top like a hinge, then with a stick maybe a foot long and with a Y on top wedge it inside the top of the bird cage then with a fishing string since the bird cant see that string that string inside your house an " LIE IN WAIT " lol trust me it works i use to catch cockatils back in california that way,,, it will work..

p.s. dont use the flash bomb i was only joking to scare the bird..
p.s.s. my step dad said stun gernade.. lol

These pics are from the other day. I have no idea what kind they are. They have only gotten close enough to attempt catching them with a towel one other time. In one pic you can kinda see how long the tail feathers are.

If they're cage trained, they'll usually go into the cage on their own because they feel safe there. Call animal control. They'll probably put a large cage in your back yard and see if they go in on their own. If not, they can probably catch them.

If the parrot's not pooping all over the place, maybe you could just leave it be, kind of like a free pet that you never have to take care of but get to enjoy how pretty it is.

Parots are smart. They are smart enough to teach me they are smart. Damn birds keep staying just out of reach. And when they seem to be in reach they wait till i get too close for comfort then hop up to the next highest branch or out of reach again. Ive given up on catching them. Just a matter of time till I find blue and red feathers everywhere but no parots

dude, its a parrot. Have you tried talking to it? Ask it its name, who its owner it, and where it lives. If I had a parrot, Id teach it those things for just an occasion. no, really
