The engines are relatively easy to come by, although the value of aluminum has been going up dramatically making it more cost effective to just melt them down for their scrap value than selling them to an importer, so the prices have been on the rise. Mine is from a 1996 R34 GT-R Spec V Skyline. Essentially, considered the pinnacle of Skyline development until the new VQ based R35. People on the Pacific rim have been developing this motor to make in excess of 1200 reliable hp.

Parts needed for the "swap": Custom motor mounts, custom tranny mount, custom drive shaft, custom bell housing that mates the Z32 tranny to the RB26 bell housing, Quaife LSD in a NISMO 4.10:1 R&P R200, all custom piping for the intake, custom intercooler, factory re-flashed RB26DETT Skyline R34 ECU, GReddy ProFecB dual boost controller 11psi & 24psi, Porsche 911 power seats, Porsche 911 brakes front and rear, NISMO competition sway bars, Ground Control coil-overs on all 4 corners and Bridgestone Potenza RE-760 Sport's in 255/40/17 all the way around, power windows, power seats, power/remote door locks, top secret alarm system, JWT Sport 500 twin turbos... Did I mention WORKING A/C?!

i think he meant came as in cummed, which in porno industry slang, would mean ejaculate.

lol i don't know. i see it spelled both ways. but that rb 26 is beast. so you only have 2 available boost settings? or two base boost settings that you can stray from?

I'm running a GReddy ProFecB dual boost controller so I have two boost settings that I can adjust, but it's more "convenient" to limit it to two (or three) fixed boost settings that you have "tuned" in the ECU.

With the ProFecB turned off, I actually have the base 8psi boost setting. The "Low" boost setting on the boost controller is currently set at 12psi and the "High" boost setting is currently set at 21psi.

In real time, I can adjust between and around these boost settings, but I can switch between each "standard" setting with the push of a single button. I don't want to be "turning *****" in the heat of battle! Too much opportunity to screw things up. I "cruise" around on just the stock waste gate setting at 8psi and while I'm breaking the motor in, I'm only using the "Low" boost setting at 12psi "in anger".

Once motor is fully broken in, I'll use the stock 8psi for "commuting", the "Low" boost setting for track work and the "High" boost setting for...

why low setting for track? i would be too spoiled with 3 settings. i'd never decide. i would switch 5 times every time i drove for a week or so, then it would always stay on high i'm sure. just out of laziness and stuff

Very nice Z LWW! I'm amazed at the quality of the work, plus the fact you have a functioning a/c.

I'm assuming you're using the low boost for track days to keep heat at a minimum and engine longevity at a maximum. I don't think I'd want to run 21 psi for 20 minutes at a time during the summer! I did the same, except for autocrossing. I used the low boost setting of 10 psi. I only used my high boost setting of 16 on the street for quick bursts of fun, but nothing extended.

If it's an Energizer, I vote for the battery.
