Well I am getting a motorcycle for free...I am not sure what year it is yet but it is an early 80's like 80-82 Kawasaki 440LTD. It is a cruiser, 6 speed, belt drive, 3 1/2 gallon tank, 27hp, 440cc parallel twin. Should be perfect for around town riding and should be good on gas after a rebuild/cleaning of the carb and a flush of the gas tank and fuel lines. Looks like this minus the luggage rack but over all a decent looking bike.

If you don't mind me questioning, are you allowed to drive the motorcycle with your license suspended??

Of course I don't mind you asking...no, it is still not legal to ride the motorcycle with a suspended license...however...I am in the process of rectifying that situation...while I am at it I will have the motorcycle endorsement put on it so I am legal to drive the ZX and ride the LTD. I will not have to put insurance on the bike though to get a tag for it as it is not required in Florida. The bike will not be ridden right away as it will be tuned up and cleaned first so that it is in correct running order...just to be safe, after all it is an older bike.

I think I will be fine...when I almost died on my other bike it was just dumb luck that I T-Boned that car when they ran that stop sign in the middle of the night on a road with no traffic that just happened to have a private road off of it that they were trespassing on. There are more lights and traffic here and even though there are alot of accidents here, people are more aware of bikes here as there are more of them...if that makes sense. I think I would actually feel more safe here then riding up in Ga where I lived. Also the speeds are much slower here (35-45mph as apposed to 50-65 as the average in the Ga town I dwelt)

the nice thing about a bike is unless you are rear ended or someone runs a red/stop light/sign most if not all other accidents can be avoided on a bike.
