i'm still thinking about the new 250 a little too. i just can't decide what to do right now. i'll probably just keep the Z32, but right before i took all the adds down, somebody on tt.net says he's "very interested".

ok so i may be trading my .308 cetme for a 1989 firebird formula with the 305. Has had some engine work done, the basics, intake and exhaust. Theproblem is it wont shift, has first and reverse, but wont shift. Its the 700r4, what am I looking at to fix it? possibly a linkage come undone?

Check the fluid... is it clean? To the proper level? Sometimes it can be a linkage issue, sometimes a solenoid issue, sometimes the tranny is toast.

I just had a shift solenoid go out on my 98 Saturn... the tires would lock up & kill the motor when coming to a stop because it wouldn't downshift.

Things I will check tomorrow when I go look at it. All I have seen so far is pictures. lol its kinda sexy though in flat black with corvette rally wheels. I am thinking maybe its got a plugged filter. I will probably trade anyways, and worry about the tranny later. Its got 3 inch flowmaster exhaust and a cam upgrade. Chevy trannys are inexspensive.

yeah, the 700r4's are probalby one of the weakest GM auto trannys out there, its sits up right next to the 84 z31 auto trans.

good thing those trannies swap out like no ones business and are probably the easiest auto's to repair. honestly i dont think american muscle should have anything other than auto, as much as i like manual, auto is just the muscle car way, specially since they only really do straight line well so no need for all that shifting ability just stall the trans get a power glide boom instant 10's

i just don't feel right driving a car with any power when it has an auto. i just feel like the tranny is going to take a dump every time it shifts. it's just too much power to handle between shifts. and no doubt, that most of them could probably be over all faster with manuals.

alright, i will tell you what snw, you go to a local road race track and see just how much the muscle cars over shadow the imports. the last track even i went too (laguna seca '07) there where more american cars then imports and guess what all of them where auto's almost every american auto cross car i have seen has been auto, oh wait thats right just about every competetive auto-x car is auto, oh wait a majority of the worlds fastest cars are auto, oh wait some of the fastest street cars in the world are auto, oh wait one last thing, i can build you an auto tranny that will slay any 5 or 6 spd trans you can come up with and i will pay about as much as you do for one clutch.
