dont let her get to you she can be very stubborn in an argument she has strong feelings for its happened to me before, best choice is to accept she has different opinions than you no proof as to who is right an wrong for sure and let it go
as for saying almost as much hp as my 636... lol not quite.... with the jumper mod on the stock 636 reverting the ecu to euro spec it puts down 108 at the wheel lol. and the jumper mod is basically jumping two wires on the ecu diagnostic port together lol. takes 5 minutes cause i have to take off the seat which is only 3 allen head bolts one under a piece of plastic trim held on by 2 screws. so 5 minutes sounds fair. then instant 10hp!!!! woot woot. at the wheels to. apparently they screwed the US model on the ignition mapping and with the exhaust valve to meet our emmisions which i guess few bike companies do. they all have cats but apparently that only brings most close to standard and kawi decided to make sure they met all specs with flying colors giving the 636 a sub par hp for what it was. i showed them! haha. and no other bike has this get a power comander for the ecu and you can tune them but same goes for the kawi.

addressing me as "boy" and accusing me of having "shortcomings" in the area suggests a harsh tone. i know you repeated yourself A LOT. it doesn't make you right. all you had to say was "it's in a book" and "it's a collector" and "you've never seen a nice one" and "i'm older so i'm smarter". weak arguments. you failed to refute all of my statements questioning the accuracy of the book, and all of my experiences. why do you even care to defend the spit so much? it really is at the bottom of the LBC chain. they are a dime a dozen. that's why it's the one that i choose to get.
here's another example. a book rates a "collector's" baseball card at $ten billion. someone puts that card up for sale, and it doesn't sell, cause nobody wants that ridiculously priced card, they want a cheaper one, that may be better. there aren't buyers for that crap, so that card ends up going for $5,000, because if people are going to spend that much money, they would get a better card. just like if someone would want to spend 11.5k on an LBC, they'd get a TR6 or an MGA. or a TR5, my personal favorite. therefore, the car goes for 5k, because that's really it's appropriate selling price.

the way to debate is not to repeat one's self. it is to refute each statement with a credible counter statement. i can't remember one statement of mine that you refuted. i win. i know, everyone will say i'm all disrespectful and all cause i'm debating with an older person, but my age doesn't make my knowledge worthless.

I was wondering how long it would take you to respond to that post lol. I have nothing but respect for the 636...you know that.

it is not rude of me to debate your statement. it is rude of you to treat my statement as if it has no strength just because you hate to be wrong. you're very closed minded for not accepting the fact that this one book may be wrong. again, like i said and you skimmed over, perhaps on some scale, it may be able to be valued at that, but when it actually comes to selling, it's more likely that the seller won't be able to get more than maybe 8k. that's why this guy is asking 5.

Yeah, this has been completely weak sauce.
You can't just tell him that because your friend has this amazing car that he's too young to know what he's talking about. People are ALWAYS saying that things are or are not worth what the person is asking for. I think you leave it at that.
In his opinion, it should not be worth that much.
I'm going to agree.

Ok...not taking sides or trying to make anyone mad here and my text is of a calm chipper nature...here goes...
If you find a listing in a book or whatever source that states a vehicles value to be, fill in the blank $______ or the vehicles are appraised at, fill in the blank $______ that is still not what it or they are worth. Anything valued at or appraised at a given price is only WORTH what someone is WILLING to pay for it. An appraisal or said value is merely a suggested starting point for that item. An example, Bob's cars has a blue book value of $10,455 in its current condition, Tony is WILLING to pay Bob $6,000 for the car. Bob takes the offer. To Tony, the car was WORTH $6,000....OR, Greg's car has a blue book value of $4,599 in its current condition, Billy offers Greg $15,000 for his car. Greg accepts the offer. To Billy, the car was WORTH $15,000.
You are both right...please shake hands and be happy.

why is my z car worthless? that's a decent amount. and yes. the $5200 that you refer to is the average going rate. what people actually pay for them. that is also what i always see them going for. i have seen an add that put the N/A way over that in value. but i don't ask that much for it.

A CAR IS ONLY WORTH THE EXACT AMOUNT A BUYER IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT!!!!
There, the argument is over.
KBB, NADA, and Edmunds are guides. They are "professional" estimates of what they feel any certain car should be worth, in certain conditions. Now, let's say we have two identical cars. No matter what car they are. But they're identical. Both are for sale. One was owned by "Joe the Plumber". The other owned by a well known celebrity. Now, who's car is going to sell for more? Why? The same principle goes for "cult" cars. Those who are enthusiasts to a certain make/model, the cars are worth more than that of a non-enthusiast.
Oh, please keep this argument going. I've been in stitches reading how senseless these responses have been.

i've made statements along the same lines as yours some time back. i don't seen what i said that you would have found too terribly funny. experience tells me they don't go for that much... there are exceptions... my basic argument
