this argument about book values is silly. that's my opinion.
another opinion that's not mine but one I agree with is that arguing in forums/chat is like competing in the special olympics.
I've sold cars so far less than book because they just weren't worth that much to me. I've bought cars less than book because they weren't worth that much to the seller. I've sold cars for more than book because they were worth more to me but I encountered someone who thought it was worth more than I did. I've bought cars that people other wouldn't touch because it wasn't worth their time and money to fix, but it was worth my time and money. Those aren't opinions.. they're facts.
Right now I'm selling a motor for waay more than it's normally worth because I want to get a different motor in it's place; but it's still worth (to me) at the very least the minimum cost of it's replacement. I probably won't sell it but I won't take a net loss either way.
That's the way things work.. if it really bugs you that much I don't know what to tell you. I guess you can crawl into a hole and live out your days there or just ignore it and be frustrated your entire life.

the mismatched body panels on the sx are pretty characteristic or ricer to me. and the wide wheels, i wouldn't say they fall directly into the ricer category, but i don't like them, so i call them ricer lol. still though, it looks like both are pretty nice cars. i'm just saying i see little hints.

it only changes when your name is blue-----or red.......uh oh....or when an admin changes it for you.....what did it say??????.

LOL wide rims ARENT ricer its called traction. and the miss matched colors is a fibergladd over fender to CLEAR the wheels when the fender cant be rolled any more so its a necessity and he hasnt gotten it painted. ricey in visual aspects yes just from the miss matched colors, but its functional.

yeah, but you know what i mean. and the wide rims with not so wide tires... i bet that damages traction as we have discussed in the other thread. but he likes it so it's all good. i like some weird things too.

doesnt damage traction, it doesnt use teh rims fullest potential but you get NO side wall flex since they are stretched. while its probably not the safest thing its great for not getting any roll/loose feeling when steering and no akward sways when drifting. also its a look the japanese drifters like. you can say you dont like it, but to call something ricer is a little naive i think is all.

Actually with little to no sidewall flex one forces the other suspension components to work harder throwing the suspension out of whack. Another thing, with tires that hang out further than the fenders, the vehicle is more prone to hydroplaning. Since the tires are an active part of the suspension and are the most important items on the car as far as safety goes, it's not the wisest thing to do messing with them for the sake of how it looks to someone. But as I said, to each their own. It is possible to use aftermarket rims and tires and still achieve satisfactory result equal to or even surpassing factory safety specs and performance....if you do it right.
