The official post whore thread..

lol protection... but yeah a jacket and or at least body armor is good and a helmet for the highway days/brisker days. also, only thing a sport bike needs especially a stock 600 is fender eliminator solo cowl (which idk how that would work with the banana seat) tailight integrater if offered flush mounts and a slip on. the PC is for serious bikes and even then only with full exhaust and intake when you need to adjust for the new breathability for the bike otherwise it will self adjust to slip ons.

Even a stock bike can benefit from a tune, just the same as a stock car or truck can...even if any gains are marginal at best. But I figure a few stickers will be good for 5 or 6 horsepower so no worries.

is bike insurance really cheaper than it is on a car? i don't get that. the typical thought is that bike insurance is WAY more, but from actual testimonies, it sounds like it can be pretty cheap if your bike isn't super new.

Full coverage on a new sport bike is not cheap...however on an older bike...like a cruiser without full coverage can be as cheap as a used tampon. My 1984 Honda CB125s cost me $50 for a full year, needless to say I paid for the year on the spot.

yeah my bike insurance was 80 a month here in az for my 98 gsx-r 750fi
they way they look at it is how much damage can you do to a car in a car and how much on a bike that is part of the figuring meathods.
if you guys dont care about the gas mileage on your bikes do a -1+2 sprocket conversion. i did and holy crap thats all i have to say. i could pull a power wheelie in any gear almost. and the acceleration was out of this world only downside was worse gas mileage, shorter shifts, and higher rpms on the f-way.
oh and as snw dont bother with the pc unless you have a real need for it like a full exaust and intake otherwise worthless. sped the money on a good set of sliders instead

sorta. and you cant cause a whole lot of damage on a bike but your much more likely to wreck one and they are much more likely to get stolen so liability only with bodily injury and property damage is cheap as ***** i do 250 a year, but add on comprehensive incase of theft like my buddy did for 5k and it costs him almost 500 a year now if you have been riding for years full coverage is about 500 a year but i mean you gotta be old and riding for a while and its gotta be a fairly new bike and of course a super sport.
