Ya, but I would still try to get the turbo manifold at the very lest

So yea, ALMOST bought a Maxima diesel intake manifold today.. decided against it, thinking that my other custom intake manifold would yield better results for about the same amount of fabrication :P
And before you ask, yes the crank was already gone :P I did however, have a chance to get it, I just didn't feel like takin the motor out and taking the crank out in the junkyard (sorry, but I'm used to working in a nice clean engine building shop :P )

Nah. Go here: http://www.car-part.com/ and call some of them if you don't see what you are looking for. There's tons of used Z parts available for us.

I've never really driven a turbo much before the Zs and never a turbo manual before my Z31. Anyway I've noticed something odd. I was on the freeway in like 5th gear. I don't drive hard on it very often, but I was doing about 55-60mph. So I just floored it and it's not too bad, but you could hear the engine revving up as the tach would climb, then after a few moments it was like boost began to build and then my tach would actually start going down in RPMs as the speed kept climbing until they sorta met at where they should be than the RPMs would begin climbing again. Is this right for a Turbo car?
Did the same thing in 4th, I was doing about 30-40 getting on the freeway and just took off it's like the tach climbs a bit and keeps rising and the engine sounds like it's really working, then the revs will drop off a bit as the engine begins to accelerate more until the revs start climbing again. It seems like it would make sense, the engine having to work harder and against the turbo until it was spooled up.
