Police Parking Chalk Marks (On Tires)
Well the city of Boulder is out to get me again.
...ok so it's mostly my fault. Apparently you're not allowed to have a car parked for more than 72 hours in the same spot (if it's on a public street). They seem to be pretty nice to you about this; typically not enforcing it but I covered my cars up (dumb) and got an "abandoned vehicle" warning on both my cars. (I've been riding my bike - no driving)
On to the question. They marked my tires in chalk which I understand. But they didn't do the same marking on all of the tires.
The Z has a mark straight down on each the tire,(you know marking where the ground is) AND a mark straight up?
I understand the bottom one is to make sure it was driven - if it was, the odds of both of them being straight down is very slim. But what's with the mark on the top?
On the Porsche, the back tire just has one mark straight down on the back tire and the tire outlined. The front tire has a mark straight down, and then a mark covering across the tread front of the top.
Again, I understand the mark straight down but across the tread?
I'm just curious what each means. I can post some pictures when I get home if you guys want.

Move them some and then chalk the entire tire tread on each tire. Then draw chalk skid marks about a foot behind each tire, to give it the look that it slid into the spot it is in. Also put a note on the bumper that says: IF YOU DRAW ON MY CAR TIRES AGAIN I WILL ASK THE TEACHER TO TAKE AWAY YOUR CHALK STICK AND NOT LET YOU BREAK IN LINE AT KRISPY KREME! Then put up a camera taping the cars so you can see their expression and let us watch.
