resale value in japan?
i'm writing a paper on vehicle imports and wondering if anyone knows anything about the resale values of cars over there. i would expect that the values drop much faster over there than they do here, hence the ease of having large car parts from low mileage cars shipped over here for fairly low costs.
does anyone know anything for sure about this? i'll need a source, so guesses don't count!

i would imagine they are lower because they start lower, to them a car like a skyline or a z or a supra is a domestic car. they dont have to pay tax to another country to ship it over seas. now of course there are exceptions to resale value too, if its a super super rare car its of course going to retain its resale.
but yea when i was there i remember seeing newer every day japanese cars (less than 5 years old) go for pretty cheap. i remember seeing a 95 ish legacy for about $800 u.s. on a lot over there. probally needed some work to pass smog because they generally arent that cheap but considering the strict smog laws it probally still ran really well
