SC262,The long-term. No Home Engine build
This motor has been in my possession, and has had several potential homes. As of now, nothing to put it in. But I will finish it none the less. It is a 30K mile 1995 Chevy 4.3 Vortec, and setting on top of it is a Eaton Gen III M90 blower. The fuel system will be converted to 11MM O-ring style, Specifically Supra Turbo MKIII 440cc injectors. Also using some 6061-T6 rails. They will remain inside of the engine as the factory poppet injectors were, but there holes bored, and bungs welded in. This gives a very clean look outside the engine. It will also be intercooled. No plans for more than 8-10psi at this time. It will be a very long lasting, dependable engine. and so far, with engine, blower, ECU, Injectors, Harness, 4L60E trans, and Trans controller, i've got 300$ invested. The upper intake is still being built, the lower has had it's runners milled way down, almost flush with the floor of the intake. The blower was just set ontop to see how the snout lined up. The blower has been ported, and silencer ports blocked off. As well as, a plate has been fabricated so intake pipe's can be welded on, turn 180 degrees, and two LT1 oval twin plate throttle body's will be at the front of the engine, running paralleled to the blower, but low as possible.
