so no cheap stock AT shifter for hoover?

 

we'll see hoov. i plan on throwing in a manual trans setup so i can probably still nab the shifter.

also its a 73. and yes coil over AND shocks cause the S30 is different than many cars. they don't make true coil overs for them because the strut housing is built into the entire spindle assembly, not removable, so they sell the sleeve and springs and you cut off the stock perch and weld on the sleeve. i wish it was possible, well, easily possible to get true coilovers in there. but it taint....

oh and the window i removed because it wasn't rolling up. so thats why its tapped up. also hooked up a battery to it, grabbed my old 260Z key and turned it on... everything seems to work other than the head lights and radio... but that might be a simple thing i over looked. and the starter wont kick with the key. not sure why.....

Oh man, thats a pretty cool Z. Like the '240Z' stripe. I wish I had some experience in bodywork/ rust repair, I'd definitely buy it.

 

well... im looking into welding now. but if i can't get a good quoted price from a buddy im parting it. starting with the dash lol.

 

welding is not hard..its a great hobby anyway. go pick up a mig

 

just let me know, I may also take the tail lights along with the shifter.

 

ya that is very rusty. You don't want to drive a rusty car like that, they fold up in a slight collision...

 

Go for it snw. It will be a sweet Z, when you get all that taken care of. Also it is the last year of the 240z. Kind of makes it more nostalgic.

alright, well.... sand blasted and primed under the fender on the drivers side, didn't do the pass side and probably wont. i need it gone. me and my dad both agree'd its just not where we wanted to start with a 240Z. i'll sell the dash for 500 or the whole car for 550. mike? then you can do what you want. but i would REALLY like this gone. the talon is not starting now with new injectors so i gotta fight some ghetto dude for my money back somethings wrong with these injectors and blah blah blah.... ugh! i just need this car gone basically.

 

if i owned the car i would take the usable/sellable parts off it and send the body to the scrap yard.

 

I might be interested in the dash. Don't have much room here for a non-running car.

 

right thats why i offered the both. let me know. the sooner the better. just trying to come close to making the money back. also, hoov you should be able to for sure get the AT shifter from me.

 

awesome, i would buy the tail lights too, but money is tighter then a virgin on prom night!
