what should i do fellas?

soooooo,

here is the story, my dad got into the turbo S30 project and pirated it from me. i am now his advisor/turbo swap specialst/assistant mechanic it would seem. not my car basically. lol. the D-bag. tho with what i will be putting into the car, tho it'll be in his name, i will be able to use it as a weekend driver if fitting.

sooooo, here is my dilema. the bike is painted and at about 13k miles, so i want to sell it while the miles arent radically high and its in perfect condition, basically while i can sell it for over 5k. cause next year it might not be possible. well after that sale, i'll have about 9k to blow. and i do not know why but i love S2000's. and the AP1 version can be had at 10k with decent miles in clean condition. and i think i want!!!! however, i feel i might miss the bike to much. what do you guys think? hmmmm... i think i will make a poll for this actually.

I agree with Kasbekz....get the S2000, sell the bike, and buy an older bike thats cool and distinctive, like a Ducati 996/748.

word! i was thinking more like a triumph Bonneville.

pero, i forgot to mention that the real best option is a z32 TT intead of that s2k. but the s2k is still pretty cool if you can bear to get the waves from the civic turds.

I like the Triumphs too. Any older Euro bike would be cool...and you'd stick out from all the d-bag Jap-bike riding squids.

lol, well the Z32 will be worse to maintain than a much newer better built S2k. that is why i didn't include the Z32. and more expensive. with an S2k i wouldn't expect to have a problem with it for a long long time. with a Z32 you are supposed to have 1k saved for oops my car is a being a bitch today lol. same reason why i eliminated the RX-7. all the same price, very similar performance and nostalgia. just more practical. and OMG the interiors on them are freaking SEX!!!! but thanks guys. my biggest fear is insurance. haha.

pft... S2000... weak. My buddy modified his S2K and sold it shortly after because he hated it.

If you want a newer roadster / coupe, go with a BMW Z3 or Z4. And if you have $9k to blow, get a small loan and go with an ///M roadster.

Bitz, pppplease!

I'm surprised...don't they have a top-end heavy powerband? Takes alot of revs for best performance.

"drivable" means what? That grandma can drive it just as well as a 16 year old?

S2K is the slowest out of Z4, Boxter, & S2K (tho only by fractions of a second): http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...9483378824563#

and cheaper by how much? more upgradeable by how much? more reliable by how much?

drivable as in comfortable and forgiving.

lol i HATE the boxster. and a bimmer doesn't fly with the parentals for some reason. they drink lots of hateraid when euro cars come up. haha. and im interested in checking out this honda reliability i hear of

as for top end power cars. yes and no. they do make power way up top, but also rev to 9k. lol. so they make up for it. also there is the AP1 and AP2. where as the AP1 (the one ill prob have) had the 2.0 liter motor that revved super high, good power, but a wacky torque curve. then the AP2 had the 2.2 liter, didn't rev as high, but smoother out the torque curve and made it respond more like a regular motor instead of more like a motorcycle. haha.

fyi, bike just went up for sale. currently asking 6k obo. prob will have to settle around 5.5 but we will see.

classiest person in IL huh? guess you never made it into the city. i have a feeling you are generalizing the honda name with that remark. honda makes great motors, just typically in stupid designs, but there were those great ones that came around, like the NSX and the S2000. and damn, ever see that 700whp s2k vid? stock motor trans and rear end. lol. that is crazy. and im interested in any better ideas tim. so far the boxster and Z4 were brought up, but... the boxster is for women, and the Z4 is for middle aged men. and also for the testing they were in very wet conditions, so not knowing what kind of tires were used and how close the times were, who really knows which car performs better as far as top gear aspects go.

and i know, but i thought about it, and though i love the bike, i dont want to ride it into the ground. i have been wanting to upgrade to a liter bike since mid last summer, so this year is do or die because next year, with the miles i ride a bike in the summer. itll be worthless lol. so selling it, then gathering my cash and deciding if i get a newer bike and DD or the S2k. the bike is getting sold tho unless i get **** money offers. then i'll ride it till it dies lol. or till next summer when i will have a career going

Awe that's cute.

Get the S2K and if you get tired of the F20 power see about a 2JZ.

also, tim, how DARE you say driving an S2K costs me my ***** when you can't finish a turbo swap or properly build an L motor! you sir fail at being man in any way haha.

I honestly think you should save up for an evo. My friends older brother had one and said he got bored with it within a month, and hes a hardcore honda guy.

why not resurrect your old FD idea? i think everyone can agree that an FD is a lot more fun and better than an s2000. a low enough mileage one will be very reliable as well.

no sarcasm. Honda S2000 isn't a bad car... its nice having a late model car as your daily driver.

The torque and low rpm responsiveness of the 350Z is hard to beat. Its really fun to drive even slowly around town. No revv-up required. I think you should try one, unless you really just hate how they look.
