Drag racin' the 240
Well, Well.... we took the 'lil red rocket, to Osoyoos B.C. Canada. for a day of 1/8 mile drag racing yesterday! This was our first time racing at the "Richter Pass Motorplex" ; its very close,(2 miles?) to the US border with Washington.
What a gas, lets see, we won our class in heads up "street" style competition "outlaw warrior", with a best (real) pass of 9.821. a personal best! at little better than 73 MPH. the "bubble" was 9.79. I was fast car in class !!
we run, ten O's and ten teens all day long at Thunder Mountain in Kelowna, my home track... this is my first day in the 9's... yahooo !!!
we also have a timeslip that shows 9.355 !!! but I am sure it was a timing error of some sort. (hence the "real" comment)
The altitude at RPM is 1600 ft (approx), and thunder mountain..is at 5500 PLUS feet,... wow...did we ever make good power down low!
Another note,.. we did'nt bring our "A" game, for whatever reason,.this was mostly test 'n tune fer us. we'll be far faster next time out!! next race at RPM, May 27th '07 , its only $30 (cdn) to race!!, brackets or heads up.

Naw,... I've never raced (the Z) at MRP. ( I hope you were askin' me...hehe)
We've came down as spectators now and again though. When I was setting up the street drag program for Thunder Mountain, we watched several friday night races, before we tried our own. Trying to figure out the logistics of the event.
That was before the Z was in my life.
I would like to know what she can do in the full 1/4... I think we'll get there this season, although the Z is pretty booked for show and race dates in '07 as it is.
It would be Uber-cool to meet up with some fellow Z owners!! swap notes Etc.
